So, What Really Happens in EBSU?

From how EBSU normally operates, yes, you can be given a matric gown even if you haven’t paid your school fees yet.

During matriculation preparation, the school usually asks students to come and collect their matric gowns. At the point of collection, students are required to submit any of the following:

 • Acceptance fee original receipt, or

 • Admission letter, or

 • School fees receipt

Notice something important here 👀

School fees receipt is not always compulsory at that stage.

So far, as long as the school has not specifically requested school fees receipt alone, students who have not paid school fees yet will still be able to collect their matric gowns.

This is one of those updates students usually get early when they stay connected to the right student platforms and conversations on campus.

Why This Information Matters

Many students panic unnecessarily and even miss important steps because of wrong information flying around.

That’s why it’s always smart to:

 • stay informed

 • follow school updates

 • and listen to verified explanations, not rumours

When you stay plugged into student-focused spaces that break things down in simple language, you won’t be confused or caught off guard.

Final Note to Freshers

If you’re a fresher and you haven’t paid your school fees yet, don’t panic.

As things stand, you will still be able to collect your matric gown as long as you have your acceptance fee receipt or admission letter.

Just make sure you:

 • follow official instructions

 • meet deadlines

 • and keep yourself updated with the latest EBSU information

And of course, always make use of platforms that help students study better, understand school processes, and stay informed without stress.
