Bola Ahmed Tinubu Sends Condolence Message to Anthony Joshua After Lagos – Ibadan Expressway Accident

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sent a heartfelt message of sympathy to Nigerian-born boxing champion, Anthony Joshua (AJ), following a tragic road accident on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway.

The accident reportedly claimed two lives and left Anthony Joshua injured, casting a dark cloud over the festive season.

In his message, President Tinubu described the incident as a painful tragedy and expressed deep concern for AJ’s well-being and the loss of innocent lives.

“I extend my deep sympathies to you following the tragic accident on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, which claimed two precious lives and caused you injuries,” the President said.

President Tinubu acknowledged the emotional burden the incident has placed on Anthony Joshua and his family, noting that such moments require unity, compassion, and support from one another.

He also praised Anthony Joshua for his discipline, courage, and love for Nigeria, qualities that have made him a source of pride to the nation and an inspiration to many young Nigerians.

“As a sportsman, you have always shown courage, discipline, and unwavering love for our country,” Tinubu stated.

The President went further to offer prayers for healing and strength, asking God to grant Anthony Joshua a speedy recovery and eternal rest to the souls of those who lost their lives in the accident.

“I pray for strength, wisdom, and grace for you during this painful period. May God grant you a speedy recovery and repose to the souls of the departed,” he added.

Many Nigerians have also taken to social media to express their sympathy and support for Anthony Joshua, wishing him quick healing and comfort for the families affected by the tragic incident.
