- Assisted Reproductive Techniques (ART):
- Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI): A single sperm is injected directly into the egg to bypass issues related to sperm motility or penetration failure.
- In Vitro Fertilization (IVF): Eggs are retrieved from the ovaries and fertilized with sperm in a laboratory before being implanted in the uterus.
- Zona Pellucida Thinning or Drilling: Techniques that help the sperm penetrate the zona pellucida more easily may be used in ART.
