Ebonyi State Governor Pays Surprise Visit to EBSU Faculty of Law, Calls for Higher Standards

The Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has paid an unscheduled visit to the Faculty of Law, Ebonyi State University (EBSU), to personally assess the condition of the faculty and the general academic environment.
According to the Governor, the visit was aimed at checking the state of facilities, the learning atmosphere, and the level of academic seriousness within the faculty.
Governor Identifies Lapses, Calls for Immediate Improvement
During the inspection, the Governor noted several lapses which he immediately drew to the attention of the Dean and faculty leadership. He emphasized the need for:
- Improved standards
- Better management and maintenance of facilities
- A more proactive approach to enhancing academic excellence
He explained that institutions preparing future lawyers must reflect the seriousness required to uphold justice and contribute meaningfully to the legal development of the state and the country.

Interaction With Students
Governor Nwifuru also interacted with the students of the Faculty of Law. He praised their:

- Strong potential
However, he encouraged them to remain focused, committed, and resilient in their studies. He reminded them that becoming an outstanding legal professional requires hard work, integrity, and continuous learning.
